Aaron is a coral reef ecologist at Harvard University. Aaron has studied the early life stages of corals to understand how parent and environmental health combine to determine whether coral offspring recruit to the reef and survive to adulthood. He has expanded this work to examine how reef ecosystems form, more broadly, and is applying ecological knowledge to developing ecosystem restoration technologies with an emphasis on enhancing climate change resilience. As the project lead of ARMS Restore, Aaron is overseeing all facets of the project, including the integration of ecological, fisheries, and human health experimental design and data collection, as well as carrying out educational activities and engaging with community partners.
