Sandra Ranaivomanana is among PhD students at the Institut Halieutique et des Sciences Marines (IH.SM) of the University of Toliara - Madagascar. Her research will focus on the fisheries aspect in the ARMSRestore project. Sandra will characterize the small-scale fisheries of Ranobe Bay, southwest Madagascar, by quantifying fishing effort and CPUE, biomass, catch diversity and size of reef fishes caught. She will also evaluate artificial reefs impact, implemented during the project, on the fishery production and catch level in this area.
